2. Talked to a Rep friend of mine, today
We used to work together and have known each other about 25 years. She's a Missouri Lutheran married to a pastor but who doesn't believe the world is only 6000 yrs old. A mixed bag sort of woman.

Anyhow, I asked her who was going to be their candidate in '08 and she just couldn't say. She said if Romney got elected, the Mormon Church would be running the country. She was definitely surprised that Rudy was pro choice and pro gay rights. And she thought McCain was *not a hawk. When I mentioned that McC wanted to send more troops to Iraq she laughed - like a 'where the hell was he going to get them' kind of a thing.

I don't think they know what the hell to do. But she did say that a governor made more sense than someone form Congress. I think she secretly wishes our Governor Bill "I knocked up the nanny" Owens would run. Even if he did knock up the nanny.

Let's face it, they don't seem to have a deep bench, Husb.

:hi:
