And, if so, why do you spend so much time trying to sink his support?

Let's be clear, I understand why the McClurkin incident is painful to the GLBT community. I understand why they want him to address the issue directly to find out exactly where he stands on the issue, and I'll be unequivocal - I think he made a stupid mistake.

But, I do not think Obama has any ulterior motives, I do not think he has any agenda against or in opposition to the gay community - and if I did, I could not and would not give him my support. There are, and have been similar missteps by the Clinton's in the past - particularly when it comes to selling short the promises they made to the GLBT community when campaigning for president which they largely abandoned in favor of watered down versions which offered little of the original promises. BUT, you would never hear me call them disingenuous in their support of the GLBT community.
