In the 2004 Democratic primary 839,231 Texans showed up to vote.

In the 2004 general election 2,832,704 Texas Democrats voted for John Kerry.

During the 2008 Texas Democratic presidential primary, 2,874,986 people voted.

In early September 2008, Democratic voter registration had already surpassed 13 million.

So, make all the fun you want but if our state gives its 34 Electoral votes to Barack Obama, I expect you to eat crow pie.
