19. Absolutely true.
Republicans conducted an 8 year, $70MM taxpayer-funded Inquisition into the last popularly elected Democratic President. How many investigations did Republicans instigate under Clinton? How many under Bush?

In the late 90's as the War on Clinton progressed to its dirty climax, Republicans had 200 FBI field agents running down cheap rumors looking for anything to stick. No surprise - Republican partisan politics took priority over national security. It's the nature of being Republican.

Don't forget, too-

(1) Chjeney/Bush shitcanned the recommendations of the Hart-Rodman bi-partisan Commission on Terror. Dick had to have his Iraq Invasion Planning / Oil Field Business Auction (otherwise known as the Secret Energy Meetings).

(2) Bush took tactical submarines off-station in the Gulf. They were tasked for taking out OBL.

(3) Bush took the surveilance drones off-station. Hard to find OBL if you're not looking.

(4) Bush administration mentions Al-Qaeda ONCE publicly, prior to 9/11.

(5) The Bush and bin Laden were business partners in the Carlyle Group. Carlyle Group - "In the Construction / Destruction / Construction Business"
