I read your draft and thought it brilliant. I made a (very late) suggestion about using the drama of Election night--which hit people so hard--re: telling the story of it (for those who don't know what happened with the Exit Polls)--but I forgot to say that I thought the speech was brilliant as written.

As it turns out, you were RIGHT to keep it current--that's what reporters would want (what's happening right now).
