and the first "participant" goes back to 11-23. No problem like this ever reported. In fact the only problem ever reported is that some messages come back undeliverable (an ongoing challenge since people get hired/fired etc.).

There is no "comacat.net" in the emails sent out. "The rejected e-mail address was 'ni2k_c@comacat.net'."

I think it is triggered by a domain name problem for you. I copied and pasted the error msg(Error Number: 0x800CCC79) into google, and here's the number one answer:

When you try to send email messages you may receive an error message that your email cannot be sent due to SMTP relay blocking. The exact error message may vary, but it will be something similar to the following. The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '<someone@some_domain.com>'. Subject: '<Test or anything>', Account: '<Test>', Server: '<remotesmtp.wyith.net>', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 <someone@some_domain.com>... Relaying Denied', Port: 25, Secure (SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

The cause of this error is due to the fact that all our SMTP servers require authentication. Please consult the "SMTP authentication settings" and "special settings for MSN, AT&T, AOL.com or Cox.com users" section in the domain manager <link next>.

First refer to configuring Outlook / Outlook Express <link>

Find out if you have "Caller Line Identification" or try this - Double left click My Computer, Double left click Dialup Networking, right click connection, left click Properties clear Area Code box, type in tel no box ,ISP Telephone No.]

"The line was dropped and connection lost while the user was either downloading or sending mail" - Try unplugging other devices on your phone line. Check to make sure you don’t have call waiting.

Is the modem set to disconnect after a set time? Control Panel, Modems, and Connection.

Is the modem phone line still plugged in?

Make sure you are not trying to send e-mail while connected to another ISP.
