Evil will occur on each side of every equation. It has its inevitable place and purpous in history, while it should never be sanctioned.

While no one stands behind the violence of the race riots in the '60s, there was a certain inevitability that such a backlash from centuries of repression would occur. ...and there's no doubt that the recognition of the culmination of this anger led to sweeping and overdue changes in the south.

The destinction I'm making with regard to retaliating to our present convoluted leadership is that we should not embrace the vile tactics of our morally compromised opponents. We must hang a lantern on our comittment to restore democratic principles to the highest levels of government.

As the arrogant Bush doctrine ("If you're not with us, you're against us...") continues to fart in the face of respectable foreign policy -- and the complications of Bush's willingness to get sucked into the Mideastern quagmire continue to show up in Wall Street, the red counties & states will finally stop voting against their own best interests.

We don't need to make a condemned house crumble. We need to be there for the residents after the house falls from its own weight. (of course there's nothing wrong with nudging along awareness).
