I always feel like everyone here is ready to pick a fight. Use one wrong phrase or idiom and you are accosted with the "what do you mean by that" attack!! Talk about a chip on the shoulder!! Gays ask for tolerance and acceptance but offer little.

I come from an unusual background and maybe it gave me a little thicker, albiet darker skin. My Dad is black and met Mom in while stationed in Germany. Sis and I are therefore German-American and both born in Germany. I was mostly educated there before we moved stateside so I have a stronge German accent. My father retired from the Army (WO5 Green Beret) and became very conservative. My Mom went from communist to socialist to democrate to republican and is not an officer in a local tea-party. How is that for a diverese upbringing?
What it taught me was to respect everyone. Maybe that explains why I expect to dawn the hood for my doctoral in Interbational Comms.

I have know gay family members that I know of and guess some of my friends are gay but it is the least thing of interest in our discussions so forgive me if I stubble and offend someone. It is never intentional.
