My monitor is all wavy-gravy

Becoming more frequent, my 19" monitor, at the bottom two inches, shows a recurring wavy pattern going through.

Sometimes the top 1/2" will do the same thing, but not as often.

Should I take the monitor in for repair? (I've a 3 year repair contract on it. Pity it's not a replacement contract.) Or wait for something more serious to happen as I haven't any spares?
