It is not going to enhance his chances of winning. I don't know why we continue to try and pull a win out of the South right now? Many Southerners are brainwashed by the information they get from their church leaders and the Republicans have infiltrated the churches there. I lived down South for five years and I know the only thing these good people have as a social outlet is the Church they attend on Sundays and Wednesdays. I don't hold out to much hope for this seat. Ford was dealt a blow by that "call me" commercial. That put doubts in the minds of the voters about his family values and it gives them a good excuse to vote against him. Now they don't have to deal with the issue of race.
