249. While holding my nose and despairing, yes.
Because I don't believe he learned anything since 2000. I think he thinks that the weakened Republicans will be pushovers, and therefore his tired old 2000 campaign and issues will work just fine.

Watch how quickly whatever Republican puppet gets the nomination pulls out the "Al Gore 'invented' the Internet" line. Watch how quickly they unearth the "Pinky and the Brain" cartoon that described him as a Winnie-the-Pooh character - "AlGore the Donkey" - from whom a never-ending stream of wind about "the information superhighway" emerges. See which comic actor on "Saturday Night Live" imitates that droning voice, that never raises in pitch or attains any urgency even if someone is mugging him in the alley.

And for those of you who don't think a candiate can be ridiculed into failure (those of you who forgot what happened to Dean, that is) watch for the armies of corporate-funded scientists that will deny his ecological stands with John Stossel-approved "corporate science."

There are still no candidates among the so-called "front runners" that have shown any courage, any righteous anger, any inspiring passion to get uncommitted people to register and vote for him or her. All they've got is the line that they're "not Bush." And that may get some votes, but not enough to provide change in both houses of Congress.
