all their lives. They were born and raised here.
Also, there are families that have been living here since before
CA. became a state, and actually help define California in it's early years.

I moved here in 1984 from Indiana. My dad was born in Colorado, my mom in Mexico.
I have a hispanic name, and in fact look very hispanic, because I am hispanic.
My wife is not. And when my child was born, fell under the hispanic category.
I don't believe your statement that we hispanics make up just a fraction of the
number 62.5% of all births.

I don't believe that 50% of the hispanics born in LA County are illegal immigrants.
I would personally put that number around 25%, although I don't have documentation
that would support either claim.
