12. about mule variations
That is a really great album. (The others are, too, but I really like MV.)

The last time I saw Waits perform (well before Letterman last night) was when he was on Leno after that album came out. I was just flipping through the channels, and landed on the tonight show as Waits began to sing House Where Nobody Lives, just him and the piano. It was pretty damn incredible.

Boy, tonight was awesome. I wish they'd kept it running until he finished the song, though.
