13. hmmm...
Murdoch and the other megalomaniacs who own 85% of ALL media in the US make gazillions off the hate mongering they promote. They expose the fetid underbelly of a distasteful class of people eager for bloviating talking heads to legitimize their hate. These megalomaniacs care not a whit about the puling, sycophantic viewing audience except as a source of their wealth.

Corporatism will continue its explosive growth, using whatever means necessary (including the trite Michelle Malkin "attacking" Bush cronyism). Corporatists prefer GOP supporters, but have learned to use ANYONE effectively. Fortunately for us, the Internet is a HUGE monkey wrench in their works.

As long as We The People continue to swallow the bipartisan red herrings promulgated by the majority of our media and politicians, we will squander our collective energy on hate and fear, rather than finding solutions to the myriad issues we are facing at present. I'm a fix-it kinda gal, and prefer to interface with those who feel the same way. I'm proud to say I have colleagues from all political persuasions who want very much to pursue cohesion in addressing our nation's needs.

I'd sure like to see more advocacy toward cohesion on DU. We can't count on most of the NeoCons to pursue this, but it's right in keeping with our political stance.
