You unsubtly know, having read the other thread, that SS is an insurance plan, yet in recent years they have been trying to sell it as a savings plan. The argument is that investing in a better savings plan, with a greater yield, will heap regards for the beneficiaries. Unless of course the plans go under. And naturally when such things happen, those at the top cash out, as with Countrywide, just before the entity hits bottom. This private savings business is propaganda, pure and simple, designed to benefit wall street at our expense.

Also, I have to say that anything that Rahm (corporatist supreme and ardent DLCer) tries to mess with sends out a huge warning signal.
