Roland Martin is filling in for Campbell Brown at 8pm on CNN. However with CNN now in 3rd place among the cable news networks, could this be a job audition for Martin?

Campbell Brown gets wiped out in her 8pm time-slot by Bill O'Reilly at FOX. That could be expected. But she is also losing big to Countdown too. And MSNBC doesn't have the built in advantages that FOX has. No CNN show should be losing to MSNBC. CNN is on way to many cable outlets where MSNBC isn't even available.

I don't have any inside info. But I think Brown could be pushed out. I sense with the build up of Roland Martin as "guest host" that more could be in the works for Martin and the 8pm time slot at CNN.

I think especially with CNN's relative ratings trouble, they may be looking for a full time spot for Martin somewhere on the network.
