7. Actually no, they don't "always" get it.
You can get welfare, Medicaid, and Food Stamps for your KIDS and not yourself. This is far more common now than it used to be, as some states have tightened the eligibility restrictions for adults in the post-1996 reform era. It's easy for kids to qualify. It's damned hard for an adult to qualify.
