19. Complicit?

Perhaps they are, but the left is equally complicit. They let the media and the right set the terms, tone, and direction of the debate. Instead of correcting the media and the right when they come out and say something that is patently untrue, they let it slide.

If they say something that is not true, say so call a lie or misstatement of the record for what it is.

If they label something a death panel, you say that these are not death panels, our position on the issue is that it is about giving a measure of choice back to the patients.

If they say social security is going broke, and benefits need to be cut, then rebut that bring the facts into it. Then turn it back on them. "I don't agree with you on the statement that social security is going broke, but if I was to concede the point, which I don't. The cause may be the continuation of unwise tax breaks for the rich letting them evade their Christian responsibility to help those who are unable to help themselves.

Etc.
