Malingering Malaise

When you think about it, all Trump and the Trumpers do is complain, complain, complain. Same thing was true with the Tea Party Movement. Just a bunch of whiners and complainers who never do anything but spread hate and fear and division.

I hope that Vice-President Harris and Coach Walz keep showing what a cowardly bunch of losers these types are. Their negativity is no way to run a country, no way to win.



With humor and joy and straight-talking common sense, we are taking it to the mat, like i've been wishing Democrats would do for a long time. We have the policies and programs and positions that they claim 70% of the country favors. VP Harris and Coach Walz are putting this in plain common-sense terms that MAKE SENSE out of a world that has veered into the insanity of Trumpism too long!

Malingerers. Spreading Malaise. Enough!!!!!! (I'm talking about Republicans here, folks, just to be clear. Negativity is pretty much all they've got. But yes, we can do our own est job of pivoting to positivity when we can. The only way that positive things can happen out of the negatives.)

It's as if the sad, lonley, bitter life and delusions of one egomaniac can threaten the well-being of a nation, which it has. I'm loving the contrast that our teams makes. And the thoughts and the feelings that we can end this kind of nightmare this time, right now.

Time for a can-do America again.

KamALPHA Harris

I am so impressed with the campaign that Kamala Harris is running so far. It is fresh, it is invigorating, while at the same time championing so many ideals that so many have held dear for so long. It is smart. It iis well-spoken.

And while she is brilliant at speaking "Truth to Power" in a way that few do, she is also really taking it to the man. I mean directly at him. Slam dunk. In your face.

That is what is mentioned here in this video at about 8 minutes in:

And yes, in addition to the other magnificent things she is doing, she is exhibiting the ALPHA qualities that can help win this election.

Many qualities shine brightly in a true leader. A true leader appeals and need to appeal to many people. In order to be followed an trusted, it is so important to know that you care. And can we admit, however, how thrilling it is to really take it to the basket, to really drive through the routine like a Simone Biles, to really belt it out like Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin or Beyoncé or Mariah Carey or Adele or Céline Dion (name your favorite).

Kamala Harris has been really driving the message home in a way that is truly inspirational. And she can do all this and laugh at the same time. Plus the gestures she uses and the looks she gives when telling Donald Trump "I will show Donald Trump what real leadership looks like" and tells us "Believe me when I say - I know Donald Trump's type" are golden.

I can't be the only one that is thrilled to see the "in your face" intensity coupled with the grace of her other proclamations.
Donald Trump is well over-due for some "in your face" action.
And she can spike the ball in his face and on his foot and all over the place for me while she is at it.

the hidden smackdown in "Believe me, I know Donald Trump's type!"

I don't know who is writing speeches for Kamala Harris or whether she is doing this largely herself, but the smackdown punchline of "Believe me, I know Donald Trump's type." is very strong. Coupled with a look that is priceless and the roar of the crowd.

Behind the straight ahead Perpetrator - Prosecutor metaphor that is played so well, doesn't this do one other thing?

In the world of sexual predation that Donald Trump is so familiar with, "she's not my type" is a line he often uses to try to disassociate from women he had been involved with. Or just to categorize them in general.

With this line, Kamala Harris basically alters the roles of predation. She is predator and he is prey.
She "knows his type".
That is the twist that is really extra delicious.

This is one savvy candidate and long may she show this to the world.
And kick ass.
And win with us this election and our freedom from Trump and our liberties and our rights and a much better life and world for all of us.

PERPETRATOR

I don't think there is another word quite as apt to describe Donald Trump as PERPETRATOR.



Long may he be remembered this way.
To his detriment.
To his LOSS.
To his fading into the sands of time.

Love it when Kamala describes perpetrators she has known and when she says, "Hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type."

Bring it on!

It's about time he was fully prosecuted!!!

Fired Up and Ready to Go and Fight, Flight, Freeze

Fired Up and Ready to Go
This is a powerful statement used during President Obama's campaign to encourage positive action.

It seems clear that the base or a least large parts of the base, AND the general American public, are Fired Up and Ready to Go and FIGHT for Democracy. For many of us, this means supporting the Biden/Harris ticket.

However, there are those who are looking into other options and plans to consolidate around..

For me I have been especially concerned at all the structural hurdles something like this faces. And these seem like legitimate concerns.

And I was criticized a little in a previous post for calling these folks "enemies". I would like to point out that I DID NOT call them enemies. I said they may start to look like enemies. There is a difference.

And in any situation, and particularly a complex situation like this, it is important to consider the polarities at work. And there are always polarities in life, aren't there? As Gurdjieff once said, "every stick has two ends".

So, it's a question of which end do you hold onto? Which end do you choose? Or something in-between?

In every instant and every situation. And sometimes it doesn't seem to resemble a conscious choice, but a primal action. Like fight, flight, and freeze. And these are powerful and not to be denied either.

So, I'm saying that the base and many other people are primed and ready to fight. Fired Up and Ready to Go. This is a legitimate resource to use. And too often Democrats seem to ignore or under-utilize the extreme power and energy and fired up passion of their base!!!

I am praying and working for solutions that utilize the fight we already have and do not create disorganization of that which we already have.

And I'm saying there have to be solutions that utilize the best of us, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and unify the rest of us. And in the midst of this we always have to work towards Unity and Messaging and Strategic Thinking.

Power On, in the ways you think contribute to the common good and the answers we all seek in order to move forward and WIN against Potential Tyrant Trump and his followers. To also wake up and encourage those who seem stuck in freeze in order to do effective action.

The Woken Tiger

I think there are some indications that those who have been calling for President Biden to step down are starting to realize the strength of the tiger they have woken.

As their intentions and lack of a real plan become more clear, they start to look more like the enemy than a true ally. As if the dangers of a Trump presidency were already being embodied in the actions of our own side.

And those that fight for good things see clearly that these folks are tainted.

I believe they have riled and woken the Tiger of Democratic Resistance. And that is a good thing.

If these contrary people are smart, they will harness. the energy of that Tiger towards defeating Donald Trump and his minions.

The passion and dedication of this movement will not be denied.

And as Unity and Positive Messaging are restored, many, many voters will more clearly see the distinctions, become impassioned as well, and join our side.

We have so many positive, good, righteous things on our side. It would be foolish to mess with this and instead stick a monkey wrench in what already is an organized movement!

I am having great success and some satisfaction at reaching out to whichever Representative or Senator I think of through the Capitol Hll Switchboard. 202-224-3121

Doing it this way is giving me a good percentage of actual people answering the phone.

When I explain how I and generally perhaps "we", well in general anyway, feel, they at least take an interest. They at least say they will pass it along.

Makes me feel better and gets some new views into their stale, confused atmosphere.

Last representative told me they get a lot of calls, from both sides frankly, but that my views were especially interesting. Sounded sincere.

I mean I truly can't believe that Democratic leadership is on this fool's errand during the week that the other side is showing exactly what assholes they are and the media is lapping it up!!!! Can they get a clue they are being rope-a-doped and get with the program?

MESSAGING plus UNITY equals VICTORY

There is one road to victory, and it is through Biden.

I really don't see how anybody can debate this.

President Biden has been an awesome President.
His record and his accomplishments are stellar.
Few would debate this, at least on the Democratic side.
And many other people from their heart either admit this now or would admit it with the right reminders and messaging.

And then there is this movement to throw him out.
Nonsense!

The road to victory runs through Biden.

Now I will veer off into territory that may get me flamed.

IF, and I mean IF, he was actually convinced that it was best for the party for him to hand off and IF he was in on the plan and a mastermind of the plan and a booster of the ticket (and I highly doubt this could happen and definitely unsure it would be better) and IF this could all be done in secret and among people who want the same thing - victory in November, that would be the only way this could work.

Everything else is simply fearful, idle chattering that dispirits our base and makes things harder but not impossible by any means.

We are running against a liar, a person who does nothing and when he does it's fascist, and a convicted felon who says he will be Dictator on Day 1 and with a running mate who compared him to Hitler. Despite the gushing of the press over their every last fart, does this sound like a ticket that should impossible to beat?

It's not.
And I truly fault all the disinformation running around and the susceptibility of people to it, including it seems our Democratic leaders.
True chickenshit politics.

I wouldn't trade Joe Biden in for any one of them and have been calling them and writing them frequently to give them a piece of my mind.

Pivoting from the negative to the positive. Stating the "positive obvious".

We are in such a weird place - we all can feel it.

Where up is declared down and down is up.

The Democrats seem hellbent in destroying their critical chances in the upcoming elections while pretending to protect those chances.
They present no alternative plan. They simply leak their fears and complaints.

What is the antidote?
Party unity.
Strong messaging.
Learning how to PIVOT.
Pivoting out of a bad line of reasoning, a bad course of action, a bad situation, a bad performance, a bad habit, a bad way of thinking and acting is key to survival.

The Republicans under Trump are living in a delusional world of absolute falsehoods and their technique is to lie constantly and lie big till the world is either too confused, to gullible or too disempowered to fight back. They do this one thing well, And as it doesn't match reality or is a fabricated lie, it doesn't work out well. It doesn't work out well at all.

The world and the universe have rules. Rules of conduct and rules of consciousness that lead to actual goodness.
Sometimes these rules or principles are put out there as guidelines for successful living.
Our founding people had the right ideas about this so many times.
The principles they stated in the original articles were solid and in fact make the heart feel good.

Dissension, lack of party unity and leadership, stabbing your own people in the back, de-motivating your base - these are not good principles or practices! They do not feel good and they do not inspire.

Just because the original principles and others that are noteworthy are "held to be self-evident" does not mean that they can go without saying. They need to be affirmed in a positive way that reaches people. It feels weird sometimes to tell the truth. So weirdly simple. But it feels so good and quietly powerful to "state the positive obvious". This is a healthy antidote in a world increasingly filled with negative and misguided thinking. Perhaps it's the only antidote. It's what Joe Biden seems to continue to do, even from a sickbed.

Those of us who love Joe Biden believe, I think, that he states them well, if sometimes in a raspy voice.
We all need to state these positive principles and live them, in our daily lives and in our lives together.
This is how we win.

By pivoting from negatives into positives. Consistently. We have the truth on our side.
By stating "the positive obvious" in the face of an onslaught of shit.
It should be a solid, winning position.
It should appeal to the human heart and get us more than the votes we need.

Back from the Edge

A major positive in the Biden candidacy is his ability to consistently "bring us back from the edge".
I think he does this great.

Do I think he could do even better?

I think he could sometimes pivot more effectively.
I think he could concentrate on saying less with the authoritative way that he has. I think the words will come out even better this way.
i think he could let the crowds cheer even longer when he makes an appearance and could say "yes, and..." when he starts his next attack.
I think we could all value "coolness" more in this day and , like Fonzie, as a virtue that keeps us and others from "jumping the shark".
Like a virtue that regulates our own internal and external climate change.

But in general, when President Biden weathers onslaughts like this with such clarity and resilience.
When he states the essential human and democratic conditions and values he so clearly believes in and upholds.
When he calls on use to act together.
When he states the complete inappropriate nature of disregarding elections and fomenting violence.
When he does many, many things,
President Biden brings us back from the edge.
He "saves our bacon".

Now the news media is either in the bag for Trump or just for hysteria.

Coming back from the edge requires using our senses and asking others to do the same.
Including using "common sense" and available empirical evidence and high principles.
These are clearly on our side and we are, however, living in a world that is prone to hysteria and even has stuff it could legitimately get hysterical about. Whether or not you "believe" in climate change, you gotta secretly know it's happening.

Coming back from the edge.
Putting out the reasonable but passionate messages for democracy and the common good.

We all have ways to do this, within our own spheres of influence.
We partly do this simply by modeling it. In our words and in our actions.
And we can do this by educating others and making a righteous noise.

We can do this. We are doing this. And so is President Biden.
