SpaceX Fires Employees Involved in Letter Critical of Musk, Company

SpaceX fired several employees involved in a letter that criticized Chief Executive Elon Musk and the way the company applies internal rules, according to an email to staff from SpaceX’s president and people familiar with it.

Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX’s president, said the company conducted an investigation and decided to terminate a number of employees who participated in the effort, according to the email, a copy of which was viewed by The Wall Street Journal. Her email didn’t say how many people the company let go, and that number couldn’t immediately be determined.

Some employees at the company recently wrote a letter that called Mr. Musk’s public statements and behavior, particularly during the past several weeks, embarrassing and distracting. The letter asked SpaceX management to publicly separate the company from Mr. Musk’s personal brand, and to take steps to address what it said was a gap between SpaceX’s stated values and its current systems and company culture.

The civil war in the 1860s was fought between liberals (back then represented by Northerns, who were Republican).and conservatives (back then represented by the south, dominated by the Democratic party).

Abraham Lincoln was a liberal. Abraham Lincoln wanted to end slavery. He wanted to give peace a chance by first offering to stop the spread of slavery.
But he soon realized that conservative racists didn't want peace. They wanted to end America as we knew it.

So the liberal Lincoln said fuck this shit. You're not destroying America. And he and we defended America and won.

Today things have inverted and the liberals are the Democrats and the conservatives are the Republicans.

Liberals in the 1860s simply wanted one thing. Don't f*** with America. And the southerners conservatives fucked with America. And they lost and America survived.

Today it is imminent that conservatives will try to steal the elections in 2024, thus trying to end Democracy.

My message is the following: Do not engage in war against America. This is an easy task for us liberals because we have never fucked with America

But conservatives are different. They do not care about America. They will try to end Democracy and the conservative Supreme Court will be on their side, ruling favorably for bogus fraud lawsuits.

We liberals will not put up with that s***. Even the good members of the military will not put up with that s*** because they know that a conservative victory will mean a victory for our greatest enemy, the racists and Russia.

We liberals will never start a second Civil War. But we will win it off there is one. Again.

Russian economy 'won't be as it was,' central banker says

The head of the Russian Central Bank warned Thursday that the country’s economy faces pressure from abroad that could persist indefinitely, dampening hopes that conditions could return to what they were before Russia sent troops into Ukraine.

“It seems to me that it’s obvious to everyone that it won’t be as it was before,” Elvira Nabiullina said at a session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an annual showpiece gathering aimed at investors.

“External conditions have changed for a long time indeed, if not forever,” she said.

Russia was hit by a wide array of sanctions after the start of the Ukraine military operation, including major banks being cut off from the SWIFT international payment system and Western bans on flights. Hundreds of foreign companies have suspended operations in Russia or pulled out entirely.

Cryptocurrencies tumbled afresh on Tuesday, with bitcoin and ether falling to new 18-month lows, after major cryptocurrency lending company Celsius Network's freezing of withdrawals delivered the latest jolt to investors in the asset-class.

Bitcoin fell as much as 7.2% to $20,816 its lowest since Dec. 2020, extending Monday's 15% plunge.

The world's largest cryptocurrency is down over 50% year to date and 28% since Friday.

No. 2 token ether lost as much as 10% to $1,075, its lowest since Jan 2021, and smaller tokens have taken even more of a battering.

In this April tweet, Greenwald criticized Hillary Clinton for urging regulations on the crypto market. In the tweet, Greenwald lies about Hillary being against Bitcoin due to a threat to "US Imperialism" (Hillary didn't say anything at all about imperialism in the same video that Greenwald links to).
