My recent message to the DNC.

I got brave and opened myself up to six tons of funding requests by sending this message to the DNC. Let me know what you think.

"I would like to tell you a brief story. A close friend of many years grew up in Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State. Very bright woman. Her family had always voted Republican - Dad and brother in the Navy. Conservative family. So, she always voted Republican. It was in her DNA. Fast forward past an MBA from Stanford and a move to California - she still voted R. Finally, her eyes were opened by the toxicity of Trump and she is now a staunch Democrat. My point here is that in all of those Republican states, we are dealing with DNA Republicans. They just always vote that way. We have to get them to see the light as my friend did and consider something different in the future.
For example, Joni Ernst stepped in it big time with her "we're all gonna die" remark and you would think that would change a few minds. But when she comes up for reelection, they will still vote for her, because that is just what they do.
Somehow, we need to rattle some lifetime Republican bones and get them to realize that their party does not have their best interests at heart.

Just my thoughts for a different approach. We really need to win!

I don't know how we will get through to some of these folks, but we have to try.

Here's a thought about shopping and boycotts

Whether you are religious or not, why not forego all non-essential shopping for Lent? From now until Easter Sunday? At that point, you are permitted to purchase chocolate rabbits.

Makes a big statement and saves $$$.

Interesting little item

My husband grew up as a neighbor to a doctor's family in the San Francisco area. That family subsequently moved to Oahu. The doctor was an obstetrician.

We just recently found out that he delivered Barack Obama!

And I don't think he ever traveled to Kenya.

So I have shaken the hand that first touched our amazing President!

Regarding the ethics agreement

That the incoming administration is required to sign by law. That TFG has, as yet refused to sign. What if he runs out the clock and never signs it? He will still be inaugurated on January 20, won't he? With zero transition planning? And his ability to raise as much dark $$ as he wants?

Who would hold him to account? No one ever has.

Red states to swing states?

This election may surprise us. There are a few red states which might be in play for the Democrats.

Wouldn't it be interesting if, for example, Ron Desantis has to certify Harris Walz as President/VP elect for Florida? Or Greg Abbott in Texas?

I relish the thought!
